Celebrating the Success of the "Just Ballin'" Project
We Did It, Together!
As we wrap up 2024, we’re thrilled to share the incredible success of our "Just Ballin'" Community Project, a 10-month basketball initiative funded by The National Lottery. From January to October, this project became a beacon of inclusion, diversity, and opportunity for youth in our community.
A Safe Space for Everyone
At its heart, "Just Ballin'" was about more than basketball. It was about creating a space where young people from all walks of life—regardless of cultural background, financial barriers, or personal challenges—could come together to grow, connect, and thrive.
Thanks to free basketball sessions offered throughout the project, we welcomed over 50 registered teenagers (both boys and girls) and engaged 30+ additional youth participants from the wider community. This diversity made our sessions vibrant and unique, fostering connections and friendships that extended beyond the court.
Making an Impact Through Inclusion
The project was designed with a focus on inclusion, diversity, and accessibility:
What We Achieved
What’s Next?
Although "Just Ballin'" has officially ended, its impact is just beginning. We’re committed to exploring ways to sustain and expand this initiative, bringing the joy of basketball and the values of inclusion to even more young people in the future.
Thank You, National Lottery!
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of The National Lottery. Their funding has not only brought basketball to life in our community but has also changed lives in ways that will be felt for years to come. Thank you to all National Lottery players!
As we reflect on this incredible journey, we want to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, and cheered us on. Together, we’ve shown that basketball is more than a sport—it’s a powerful tool for unity, growth, and transformation.
Stay tuned for updates on our future projects. And remember, we’ll always be just ballin’!
